Growing up, I used my paper route and grass cutting money to invest  in some self-taught education.

I purchased a Navy Surplus ( dated 1945) Military Receiver for $15.00 in 1963,
heavy enough to sink a Submarine.
I continue by leaning Morse Code using 33 1/3 records of dots and dashes.

I was first licensed as Amateur Novice as WN4CDF

Then licensed Amateur Advanced as WA4CDF

In 1972, licensed Amateur Extra Class as N4ON

By 1974, Commercial Radio and Telegraph Licenses
Each With Ship Radar
Endorsements
