Take highway 550 N out of Durango, CO past the stone mountain on the left and continue until you cross over the mountains on the right.

The is the most snow I have ever seen in my lifetime anywhere .  After plowing it off to the side of the road, then return later to remove it.

Most businesses were open, including the Post Office.  I mailed two packages just so they would have something to do.

I find it a little difficult to keep my car clear in all the snow, ice, melted snow, etc.
This car traveled 60 miles to get here and the journey was a messy one.
I carry everything with me to maintain my car, up to and including oil changes.

After climbing over the mountain range, Silverton can be see down in a valley surrounded by more mountains.
