Touring disaster sights within weeks, sometimes months
after
they occur is a learning experience. Talking with locals
and interviewing authorities is worth the time and effort.
Police, Fire Fighters, EMS, Red Cross, HAM
radio operators,
anyone who has a story to share is worth listening.

technology has made advances in combating tragedies.

This flood was 30 feet over the dam on July 4, 2025
Water flooded the Inn, crossed the road
and flooded homes across the road.

local store no longer open.
Nearby town of Ingram Texas served the town of Hunt and river area.

Hunt Texas crossroad store closed years ago and on the market for sale.
